                 Carrot is a vegetable and is available in vegetable market whole year but the carrots grown in winter season are big reddish and contains lot of juice.The carrots of winter season are also sweet in taste.In farms the production of carrots is more in winter season.In this season the price also comes down.The confectionery made from carrot is very tasty and nutritious.It is used in salads to increase the taste of food.We can see carrots often in soups, noodles and in Chinese rice.It is also used in pickles.Carrots are eaten directly also but wash carrots carefully before eating because it grows under the land and lot of mud is sticked to eat so there might be contact of germs to it through mud.Do not remove the skin of carrots.It is very nutritious.The seed of carrot is also useful.As carrot grow under the land it absorbs lot of nutrition from the land.Carrots are well-known in whole world.It is used daily in our home and restaurants.Carrot is a treasury of power and energy for our body.Leaves of carrot are also useful for our body. 
                 The plant of carrot grows 1.5-2.0 feet tall.Carrots do not grow well in rough land.It requires smooth, little wet and little starchy land.The carrots grown in such lands are very tasty and bigger in size.In other types of land it does not grow well.From August to December the vegetable markets are always full with carrots.There are many types of carrots. The carrots grown in Asia are are reddish in color and the carrots grown in Europe and western countries are pinkish in color.Some carrots are small in size and some are big.Carrots are mainly grown in India.From India carrot spread worldwide and is eaten daily.There is vitamin named as Carotene in carrot.From this Carotene the name came as carrot for this vegetable.Eating fresh carrots gives more benefits to our body.From children to old age people carrot is very useful.Carrots are also given to many domestic animals for production of more milk and to keep them healthy.

                 Carrot contains Sodium, Potassium, Carbohydrate, Vitamin A and C.

Medicinal uses :

  • Food is eaten by chewing it properly.Small particles of food sticks into our teeth.It is important to remove these small food particles from our teeth or it will create bacteria in it.Because of this problem gums starts swelling.It is called as Gingivitis.It causes dental pain.If a carrot is eaten after having our daily food then there will be no dental problems.Carrots also removes harmful germs from our teeth.
  • Vitamin E present in carrots is useful for heart patients and also who are not.In metabolic process there is production of of unwanted material which are toxic.There is harmful effect of this toxins on our blood vessels and cells of heart.The heart gets tired soon.There is problem of blood circulation.Our stamina reduces and heart beats increases.So it is important to drink carrot juice regularly.It also contains lot of Potassium which controls blood pressure.
  • Calcium present in carrot is very important for our bones.We have to face problems of Osteo Malacia and Osteoporosis if there is deficiency of calcium in our body.It means our bones become fragile.There is pain in bones.We even face problems to stand and sit due joint pain.To avoid all these problems eat carrots regularly.
  • Carrot contains a lot of Vitamin A.When it goes inside our body it converts into retinol which is useful to keep our eyes healthy.It removes the dryness of eyes.It is useful in night blindness.Also there will be no need to wear spectacles.So to cure all eye related problems drink carrot juice at least thrice in a week.
  • Carrot has lot of fiber which maintains proper movement of intestines.Eat carrots regularly.It removes constipation.Eat carrots with little sugar and little cumin powder.It increases our energy also.
