In many sweets or confectioneries we see green colored small pieces of pistachios.It is a dry-fruit.It increases the taste of confectioneries.Inside red fruit there are pointed shell and inside this shell there is seed.The cover is greenish in color and has two sides.From inside it has green & yellowish color.These fruits are dried and shells are removed.Process is done on the shells and dried seeds of pistachios are formed.This shell is light burgundy in color and used in some tooth pastes.Pistachios trees can live for 150-300 years.If there is too much moisture in air then these tress become dull.After planting pistachios comes after 8-10 years.We get pistachios in small pockets which are available in market.If pistachios are kept in parties for eating then it is considered as big and expensive party.Pistachios are used in various recipes.Pistachios are mainly from West Asia and is known since 1000 years.It even grows easily in forests and become food for the people coming in forests.
