Description :
           Pepper is used daily as a condiment but it is a fruit.We all know pepper as it is used often.Peppers are small rounds and little wrinkles on it.There three colors of peppers.Black , white and greenish pepper.Usually black peppers are used daily at home and hotels.In markets and grocery shops also black peppers are easily available.But all these three peppers have same medicinal benefits.When unripe pepper fruits are dried then we get greenish pepper.When little ripe pepper fruits are dried then we get black pepper.When pepper fruits are completely ripe then they are dried and outer color is removed and we get white pepper.Fresh pepper contains Piperine oil which is very useful for our health.We can keep pepper fresh by keeping it in airtight containers.Now pepper powder is also available.Pepper has the quality of anti-inflammatory and anti-infective.It is also beneficial for our respiratory system.Pepper powder is also used as medicine.It is good to take pepper with little honey.We can use pepper in salads, rice and fruit drinks.Pepper is mainly from South India.If proper care is taken of crawling pepper plants then it can grow up to 20-30 feet.These crawling plants lasts for a longer time.

                 Pepper contains Carbohydrate, Protein, Fat, Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, Vitamin A, B6 and C.

Medicinal uses :
  • Due to cold wind in winter season many people gets cold & cough.Many other respiratory problems also occur.Cold blocks our nose.Water flows from nose and sometimes this water becomes hard and sticky.It gets stuck in our nose and bones around our eyes.Head starts paining and also our body starts shivering.We start falling ill.Cough gets into our chest.We feel tired during respiration.Then there is throat infection and bronchitis swells.In all these problems we should use pepper.Take one teaspoon of pepper powder and mix with it one cup of boiled water.Then drink this water when it becomes lukewarm by adding small pinch of ginger powder.Do this two times in a day.It cures throat infection and helps to remove cough.
  • Pepper is anti-bacterial as well as anti-fungal.Both these qualities of pepper is useful in skin diseases.When pepper comes in contact with skin then in that particular area blood circulation increases.In Eczema and Scabies pepper is very useful.Take little clarified butter and add a small pinch of pepper to it.Apply this mixture on affected area as an ointment.It provides moisture to skin and increases health of our skin.
  • Pepper works good to control the level of cholesterol.From our body to remove unnecessary and harmful fat (LDL-Low  Density Lipoproteins) garlic is very much important and it controls the level of LDL.The beneficial and necessary fat (HDL-High Density Lipoproteins) is stored successfully because of pepper.It controls high blood pressure.The clotting of blood also reduces.To avoid he heart diseases pepper plays a very important role.For all these problems have pepper in your diet daily. 
  • Pepper is very useful for stomach problems.Muscles of our stomach works fine due to pepper.This helps in digestion of food.If fats and proteins are there in our diet then we should definitely pepper with it as it easily digests fats and proteins.It removes gas problems.It keeps our digestive system healthy and removes bloatedness.Take half cup of lukewarm water and add small pinch of black salt and pepper to it.Drink this mixture daily.It helps to cure stomach related problems. 
  • For proper working for our body  there are many reactions taking place in our cells.During this reaction many harmful substances are created.It is necessary to remove these harmful substances otherwise many organs perform slowly.For the proper functioning of our body organs vitamin E plays very important role.Carotene, zea xanthin and cryptoxanthin which are phytochemicals are also present in pepper.We call these as anti-oxidants.
