                 We see green bundle of lettuce leaves in vegetable markets.The leaves are joined to each other.Leaves outside are bigger while leaves inside are little whitish soft and smaller in size.For medicinal use dark green leaves should be used.While using lettuce proper care should be taken because there is mud inside it.So before using lettuce it should be washed properly.Lettuce is mostly used in salads., specially in Russian types of salads.Kids love to eat sandwiches, noodles and burgers.In all these foods lettuce is used.If the leaves are green in such foods then children will get more benefits of lettuce.Lettuce leaves do not stay fresh for a long time.So it should be consumed early as possible.Do not buy lettuce leaves which have small holes in it.It means that it is decayed.There are two types of lettuce.One is like cabbage which are packed tightly to each other.The second is separated leaves it means that they are not attached tightly to each other.Lettuce is mainly from middle-east.Lettuce is known since ancient Egypt.Then it spread to Persia.From Persia it spread to Europe and then worldwide.There are lots of vitamins in Lettuce.Lettuce is widely used in soups.

  • Lettuce has the quality to cure constipation.Lettuce contains a substance named as cellulose.It get mixed with feces and helps to cure constipation.Movement of intestines is properly done wit the help of cellulose.Many people have problem of gases and acidity.Lettuce leaves cures these problems.Eat lettuce leaves regularly with salads.All intestinal problems will get cured.
